Story
of Begasse
Bagasse (or begasse) is the pulverized or shredded
outer fiber of the sugarcane, removed from the
cane during the milling process when the juice
of the cane is extracted for sucrose (to make
sugars). This pulp offers alternatives for fuel
or fiber. Increasingly, these fibers are being
used to manufacture paper boards, with applications
in the construction industry, writing paper, packaging,
and compostable food service plates and bowls. |

We Put our Waste to Work. Because a rind is a terrible thing to waste!
When you look onto the electrical grid for a
standard urban or suburban grid, the most energy
intensive business, per square foot, tends to
be the supermarket.
With the help of a few orange rinds, coffee grounds, banana peels, and a little of Mother Nature's
love, comes the next natural resource in a bag-
Green Mission Compost.
